Who are we?
NOVA School is an independent middle school centrally located in Olympia, WA.
We are dedicated to meeting the special needs of highly capable students during
the crucial middle school years. Our program offers a specialized curriculum designed to
meet the intellectual and developmental needs of highly capable middle school youth.
The rigorous academic program is carefully designed to prepare our students for honors
and advanced classes in high school and also to teach the skills necessary to self-advocate
as they move through their school career. Work habits, successful student behaviors,
and self-discipline are emphasized. We teach our students to effectively utilize their
talents ands gifts, keeping all doors open for their own futures and developing themselves
as contributing members of their communities. Interwoven with the core academic curriculum
is a strong specialist and extra curricular program that offers a wide variety of experiences
in art, drama, technology, academic competitions, recreational sports, community service,
and leadership experiences.
