The NOVA Experience
What is the outcome of the NOVA Experience?
Our goal is to create young adults who are ready to succeed and thrive
in high school and college no matter what their interests, and who can
navigate the complexities of the next phase of life with greater independence
and confidence.
Students who are with us through the three years of middle school can expect a much greater degree of development in the following areas:
- Proficiency in all areas of communication: writing, reading, speaking, listening
- Ability to collect, organize and use information effectively
- Skills in organization, study skills and work habits
- Ability to think critically, reflectively, and creatively
- Understanding of content, processes, and methods inherent in the study of science
- Ability to solve mathematical problems with a solid foundation
- Background in history and geography
- Inner balance and self confidence
- Independence as thinkers able to pursue personal interest topics and projects
- Ability to advocate for their own educational futures
- Sense of respect, responsibility and community
