NOVA School (novaschool.org) is an independent school serving highly capable middle school age learners. Our students are energetic, creative, funny, intense, passionate about issues and learning, and academically advanced in varied ways. Our faculty is committed to expanding the opportunity for students to stretch their understanding and expand their skills while equally supporting their social, emotional, and leadership development during these important years. As a teacher at NOVA, you will work with a small faculty and wear many hats in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment. 

Our current need is for a science teacher with a passion for earth and space science. This position is part time with potential other teaching opportunities bringing it to full time. It comes with benefits and a professional development budget. We expect the successful candidate to hold a science certification and preferably have experience with highly capable/gifted middle school students. A strong background in experiential/problem/inquiry based learning, an understating of Next Gen Science Standards and enthusiasm for introducing students to science methodology - constructing explanations and designing solutions using evidence is essential.
