In a normal world, the hallways and classrooms of NOVA would be abuzz with students and teachers engaged in learning together. In a normal world, our staff and faculty would be planning 8th grade graduation and end of the year events. And, in a normal world, we would have held our spring fundraising gala last Saturday.
It’s not a normal world. And yet…
Through our distance learning program, our teachers continue their work with students, keeping them engaged and challenged. Our plans for 8th grade graduation and the end of the year are moving forward as we adapt to our new, virtual environments.
And despite the economic uncertainty of these times, we are continuing with our fundraising so that we can help families who depend on financial aid.
We have launched our online campaign to raise funds for tuition assistance. Our goal is $30,000, and every dollar we raise will be designated for financial aid. We’re calling our campaign Now More Than Ever.
We understand that this is a time of unprecedented hardship, but now more than ever, NOVA needs your support. Now more than ever, highly capable students need our community’s help to make a NOVA education possible.
Our campaign will conclude on May 5, which is #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of philanthropic unity. I hope you will join me in making sure that we reach our goal.
