Developing scientific thinking skills occurs through hands-on practice, a high level of scientific dialogue, and inquiry.

Over the three years, students study Earth and Space Science, Biology, and Physical Science in a curriculum that is grounded in the Next Generation Science Standards and also responsive to current events. In our hands-on science program, scientific thinking is developed through doing. Our students participate in labs, producing hypotheses, gathering and evaluating data, and defending conclusions. They work with physical variables, with various technologies, and with partners to understand and to clarify their understandings.

High School Credit: Students earn credit for Physical Science, and may take Biology or Honors Biology in their 9th grade year.
