NOVA School Programs for the Whole Regional Community

NOVA School exists not only to produce future leaders, innovators and engaged citizens, but to also provide valuable programs and opportunities to the greater community.

From our open-to-the-public speaker series, DISCOVERIES Summer Camp and community events to making the NOVA campus available for the use of clubs, religious groups and private life-cycle events, NOVA sets the example for its students by being a positive asset for the region.

Upcoming NOVA School Community Events:

Parent Discussion Groups at NOVA School

The public is invited to this interactive discussion between parents, quest speakers and an expert educator on issues surrounding raising highly capable children.

Back by popular demand, the Parent Discussion Group will meet monthly between September and May at NOVA School’s campus located at 2020 22nd Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501.

Facilitated by Barbara Mitchell Hutton, NOVA Head of School, the Parent Discussion Group is designed to address challenges, joys and concerns inherent in the complexities of parenting of highly capable children.

The exchange among parents is supportive and informative and adds to the richness of the discussion.

The next discussion group meets on: TBD

A prior participant said this about the benefit of the discussion group: “You don't want to miss this opportunity to join our community in learning how to deepen and broaden your experience with your child and yourself. Barbara Mitchell Hutton is a master, full of insight and wisdom from years of working on the leading edge of gifted education.”

This series is free. Attendance at each group meeting is not necessary but advance registration is helpful for planning. To register or if you have questions please email Barbara.
